Scholarships and Grants

There is a scholarship or grant for everyone in every category of education. Here are some scholarships and links we've found that might help with your scholarship or grant search:

The American Legion, Department of Indiana- Americanism and Government Test. The Americanism and Government Test allows young men and women the opportunity to receive scholarships based on their knowledge of current events, Indiana and United States Government, and the United States flag. A study guide is available to help prepare the students for the test. The American Legion High School Oratorical Contest allows the students the opportunity to receive scholarships through a speech contest focusing on the Constitution of the United States.

 The Fountainhead Essay Contest- This essay is for 11th and 12th grade students only. Essay must be between 800 and 1,600 words in length. Entry Deadline is April 26, 2010.

 Indiana Association of Education Office Professionals, Inc.- The IAEOP will present one (1) $1,000 scholarship yearly to Indiana graduating seniors. The criteria below must be met:

    1) Applicant must have completed two (2) or more business educational courses (four [4] semesters) from among the following: computer classes, typing, keyboarding, shorthand, accounting, offices practices and procedures and/or bookkeeping.

    2) The applicant shall be enrolled, having made application to an institute of higher education (two [2] or four [4] year college, university, business college, or vocational/technical school)

    3) The applicant must maintain a 2.8 GPA

 Indiana Dollars for Scholars- Indiana Dollars for Scholars invites all Indiana high school juniors and seniors to participate in the Hoosier Heroes scholarship competition for a chance to win one of ten $2,000 scholarships.

 Indiana Trust and Investment Management Co. Scholarship- A $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a student who has applied to and has been accepted to the following colleges: Ball State University, Anderson University, or Ivy Tech Community College (Muncie, Anderson, Marion and Richmond campuses only).  IPFW Scholarships- Sponsored by IPFW (Indiana U. - Purdue U. Fort Wayne) and area companies. The departments listed on their website offer any Indiana High School student scholarships in Engineering, Technology, and Computer Sciences. The deadline for an application is March 10, 2010. Ask your guidance counselor, visit their website, or call (260) 481-6839 for more information. To get an application, see your guidance counselor.

 PHP Scholarship Program- To qualify for this scholarship you must be a senior in high school planning to pursue a career in a health-related filed with a minimum GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. For a scholarship application for see your guidance counselor. All entries must be submitted and postmarked no later than February 26, 2010.

 Purdue University- Purdue University is awarding incoming freshmen and continuing students admitted in Entomology with a scholarship of $1,000 - $2,000.  U.S. Bank No Fee Education Loan Program- U.S. Bank is offering thirty to forty $1,000 scholarships. Any high school senior planning on enrolling next fall in any eligible four-year college or university participating in the U.S. Bank No Fee Education Loan Program are eligible to apply. Eligible reward recipients are selected through a random drawing process. Further details, including college or university eligibility, can be found on our website.
